The Great Globalization Debate
We live at the dawn of the first global civilization. Properly managed, globalization can be a positive development for all the world's peoples. In fact, the world's most serious problems -- oil depletion, nuclear weapons proliferation, global warming, AIDS, terrorism -- can only be successfully addressed by global cooperation. The great debate is not about whether globalization will happen, but what kind of global civilization we want to create.
