Submission InstructionsThe event will take the form of a poster session and competition, and all graduate students are encouraged to participate by: - submitting and presenting a poster- submitting a resume for inclusion in a resume book This event will provide an opportunity for students to present their research, whether complete or a work-in-progress to: - CS faculty- faculty from other UGA departments - university administrators - industry representatives (from Google, AFLAC, etc.) - visiting alumni - prospective students The event will take the form of a poster competition. Refreshments will be served. Visitors and faculty will vote for best poster, and prizes will be awarded. Details of the event:The poster competition will be structured into four 30-minute sessions. Students will be "on duty" at their posters for two sessions, and free to circulate around to other posters, enjoy refreshments, etc. during the remaining two 30-minute sessions. Prizes:
How you can participate:
Poster Submission:You can find the poster template [here]. It consists of a single powerpoint slide, formatted to print to 24 in. x 32 in. It contains some text boxes, logos, and a general outline for the posters. You don't need to follow the outline exactly; it is meant only to give guidance. Please don't make a dark background on the poster or on sections of the poster, as that will complicate printing. Submit your file by email to: researchday@cs.uga.edu, with the subject line: Poster Submission.
After you submit your poster, it will be reviewed by two faculty members. You'll get feedback within a few days. Logo Submission:Submit your file by email to: researchday@cs.uga.edu, with the subject line: Logo Submission.
