Applying to the Computer Science Major
Incoming UGA students and transfer students:
As an undergraduate student, you do not submit a separate application to the Computer Science Department. Instead, simply list "Computer Science" as your desired major when you submit the UGA Admission application form.

To add CSCI as a major, visit Franklin college's offices in Memorial Hall, next to Sanford Stadium. Or, visit here
If you are unsure whether you want to switch to Computer Science, or need help estimating how long it will take you to finish your degree, contact Dr. Chris Plaue at advising@cs.uga.edu or 706-542-4799 for an evaluation appointment.
Intended and Official Computer Science Majors Lower-Division CS majors
If you have finished fewer than 60 semester hours, you will be advised by Franklin College's advision staff at Memorial Hall. Visit here to schedule an appointment with your advisor.
Upper-Division CS majors
You will become an official CS major when you reach 60 semester hours. At that time, Franklin College advisors will refer you to the CSCI department for future advising and we will assign you a CS Faculty Advisor.
